The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) applies to all packaging regardless of the material.

It defines

• how packaging must be constructed
• how it is labelled
• how it can be recycled.

This means

• Packaging must be recyclable (by 2030)
• Packaging must be designed in such a way that it
  • can be collected separately
  • can be sorted
  • can be recycled to a high standard

To achieve this, packaging will receive standardised labelling for correct disposal/recycling.
