Cleaning bottle holders

Material-dependent cleaning: Pay attention to the material of your bottle holder. Stainless steel, metal and bamboo have different cleaning requirements. Check the manufacturer's instructions and use suitable cleaning agents.

Hand wash with mild soap: For most bottle cages, use a mild soap solution and warm water. A soft cloth or sponge will help remove dirt and debris without damaging the material.

Using brushes: A small brush, such as a toothbrush or a special cleaning brush, is particularly suitable for hard-to-reach areas and tight corners. This helps to clean all corners thoroughly.

Soaking for stubborn dirt: For stubborn dirt or stains, you can soak the bottle cage in a soap solution. This loosens dirt and makes subsequent scrubbing easier.

Vinegar solution for odours: If the bottle cage has developed unpleasant odours, a vinegar/water solution (1:1 ratio) can be helpful. Leave the holder to soak in the solution for a few minutes and then rinse it thoroughly.

Baking soda for stubborn stains: Baking soda is a natural cleaning agent that can remove stubborn stains. Sprinkle some baking soda on a damp sponge and rub the stained areas.

Regular care: Clean the bottle cage regularly to prevent the build-up of dirt and bacteria. Weekly cleaning is often sufficient to keep the holder hygienic.
