Bamboo boards from KESPER: Your advantages

Bamboo chopping boards offer a number of advantages that make them a popular choice for the kitchen:

Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource that is particularly well suited to sustainable products. Compared to other woods, bamboo requires less water and no pesticides or fertilisers to thrive.

Bamboo is very hard and resilient, which means that bamboo chopping boards are less susceptible to scratches and cuts than chopping boards made from softer woods. They therefore last longer.

KESPER bamboo chopping boards have naturally antibacterial properties that reduce the growth of germs and bacteria on the surface of the chopping board. This contributes to better hygiene in the kitchen.

Bamboo wooden boards are easy to clean with warm water and mild washing-up liquid. They do not absorb odours or colours and are therefore easy to keep clean even after repeated use.

Bamboo is softer than glass or stone, which means that bamboo boards put less strain on the blades of your knives. This extends the life of your knives.

Bamboo has a warm and natural look that looks good in any kitchen. Bamboo chopping boards give your kitchen a natural elegance.

Bamboo chopping boards are available in various shapes and sizes, including chopping boards with drip trays, round boards and more. They are not only suitable for cutting, but also as serving platters.

The use of bamboo chopping boards supports sustainability and the protection of forests, as bamboo grows back quickly and no large areas need to be cleared.

As you can see, the bamboo chopping boards from KESPER offer a combination of environmental friendliness, durability, hygiene and aesthetics that make them an excellent choice for the modern kitchen.

Harmful substances:
Are bamboo chopping boards harmful?

Bamboo chopping boards from KESPER are completely harmless to health. Our chopping boards are made from 100% FSC®-certified bamboo, which has been specially selected to meet the highest quality and safety standards.

There are indeed some types of bamboo that contain toxins. Bamboo tableware is also often criticised by consumer centres. However, we at KESPER only use non-toxic bamboo for our chopping boards. No plastic or other substances are added to our bamboo boards.

Our bamboo chopping boards not only provide a safe and hygienic work surface, but are also often more environmentally friendly and healthier compared to other boards, as they have a natural antibacterial effect.

At KESPER, our top priority is the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Our chopping boards are manufactured with the utmost care to provide you with a high quality and safe option for your kitchen.

Care:
Can bamboo cutting boards go in the dishwasher?

To maintain the life and quality of your bamboo chopping board, we recommend cleaning it by hand with warm water, mild washing-up liquid and a soft sponge. After cleaning, rinse the cutting board thoroughly, pat dry and leave to air dry completely. If you want to give the cutting board additional care, you can rub it regularly with food-safe oil.

As a rule, bamboo chopping boards should not be put in the dishwasher. Although bamboo is a durable and robust type of wood, the heat, moisture and aggressive detergent in the dishwasher can cause the bamboo cutting board to warp, crack or damage its surface.
