From exemplary managed forests.

At KESPER, sustainability is more than just a trend. Our family business is based in one of the most densely forested areas in Germany and it is precisely this wealth of forests that we want to preserve - here and all over the world.

That's why we manufacture our products with wood and bamboo that comes from controlled European forestry or from sustainably managed forests worldwide. This goes hand in hand with FSC® certification, which creates a clear guideline to ensure exemplary forestry processes. At the same time, by using sustainable resources, we contribute to climate protection and support the economy. Sustainability in forestry is therefore a win-win situation for all of us.

In 2021, we saved over 160,000 kilograms of CO² equivalents through a take-back system for sales packaging.

FSC® certification

The FSC® trademark (FSC® C014021) is awarded to wood products that originate from well-managed forests or plantations. Forest management is based on the strict environmental protection requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council and also takes high social and economic standards into account. The FSC® is a non-profit international organisation in which environmental associations, social organisations, progressive forestry companies and wood processing companies work together with the aim of improving forest management and the environment worldwide.

The diverse FSC® principles ensure that the world's forests not only remain economically viable, but also continue to fulfil their social and ecological functions. In addition, the social and economic situation of forestry workers and the local population is improved and the rights of indigenous groups are respected. Compliance with national and international laws, regulations and contracts as well as a functioning management system are self-evident prerequisites for FSC® certification of the respective forestry operations.
